Graham Arthur

Graham Arthur was the player chosen by the Hawthorn Football Club to be its representative on the inside of the Hawthorn Stamp Booklet.

He played 232 games for Hawthorn between 1955 and 1968. He won three club Best and Fairest in 1955, 1958 and 1962.

He Captained the Hawks from 1960 to 1968 and was Captain-Coach in 1964 and 1965. He captained Hawthorn to their first Premiership in 1961.

Graham Arthur was inducted into the Hall of Fame during the Centenary Season as a player in the era 1961 to 1995.

On the 28th March 2001 the second annual  meeting of the "Premiership Players Club" was held at the MCG to help raise funds for charity.  Graham Arthur in the selvedge of the map and globe stamp was displayed on a first day covers by Havilah Enterprises.
