Chris Grant

Chris Grant played his first game for Footscray in 1990 and topped the goal kicking in that year. He won the best and fairest in 1994 and 1996 and was again leading goal kicker in 1994. During the 1996 season, his best, he played mainly in defence. He has played 252* games. In 1997, 1998 and 1999 he won All Australian Selection. He has been club captain since 2000.

He was chosen by the Footscray Football Club as its star on the Footscray Centenary Maximum Card and Postcard. The maximum card is displayed below. The postcard is essentially the same except that the background is brighter and there is no postmark or stamp.

On the1st April 1997, the first working day after the Easter Break, the New Pictorial PM was released with a cover including Chris Grant,

In 2000 he was included as one of the 27 covers to commemorate the "Superstars" of the AFL (see below) on the first day of issue of the AFL P stamps.

In 2001Chris Grant was included in the Western Bulldogs Footy Stamps.

On the 4th April 2002 he was named on the half forward flank in the Bulldogs Team of the Century.

On the 5th August 2006 a cover commemorating Chris Grant's record 330 games for the Western Bulldogs was released.
