Even after Ports admission to the AFL as the
Power they still played in SANFL and made the Grand Final in 1997 being defeated
by Norwood but won their 35th Premiership in 1998 and the 36th
Back-to-back in 1999.
On the 19th September 1997 50 Covers with a
cinderella stamp and Postmark were released by Havilah Enterprises to
commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Ports
1977 Grand Final
Win.
On the 20th February 1998 100 Covers
were released by Havilah Enterprises to commemorate the the naming of Port's
Hall of Fame First Eighteen. Eight
further members were inducted in on the 5the April
2002. They were
Craig Bradley,
Brian Cunningham,
Scott Hodges,
"Brick" Hoffman,
Tim Evans,
Tim Ginever,
Harry Kneebone and
Greg Phillips.
On the 18th September 1998 50
sets of three Covers were also released by Havilah Enterprises to commemorate
Ports
1962,
1963 and
1965 Grand Final Wins.
On the 17th September 1999 a set of three Covers was released to
commemorate Ports
1979,
1980 and
1981 Grand Final Wins.
On the 12th August 2000 Havilah Enterprises released a cover to
commemorate Ports three premierships in a row for
1988-89-90.
"The Greatest Team
of the Greatest Club" from 1870 to 2000 was announced at the Adelaide
Convention centre on the 16th June 2001.
