He won All Australian Selection in 1993-95. He has played 226 games and kicked 426 goals. His centenary season and 1997 was restricted to just 6 and 5 games respectively due to a back injury. He was chosen by the Melbourne Football Club as its star on the Melbourne Centenary Maximum Card and Postcard. The maximum card is displayed below. The postcard is essentially the same except that the background is brighter and there is no postmark or stamp. A cover with the outline of the postcard was also released.
